Our Recyclate Initiative

FROSCH is using a minimum of 50 per cent recycled material in its plastic packaging.

A large proportion of energy and crude oil is currently used in conventional packaging for cleaning agents. Werner & Mertz is the only manufacturer that has optimised not only its product formulas but also its packaging in terms of sustainability. If other companies were to follow our example, this could have far-reaching consequences: By setting a good example with the Frosch Recyclate-Initiative, we want to ensure that the large volumes of PET which end up as recycling waste are actually recycled as intended. Although this valuable raw material is carefully placed in separate waste bags by consumers in Germany, nearly all of it is subsequently incinerated. Many thousands of litres of crude oil could be saved through the use of recycled PET material. Also, the preparation and processing of old plastic requires far less energy than the production of new material. This results in the protection of natural resources, less energy consumption and a reduction in carbon emissions.
